I wrote this one after a late-night bonfire out in the sticks, just letting my imagination run wild with the 'what ifs' of local legends. I was thinking about those old-school novelty records and wanted to blend that humor with a genuine sense of being left in the dust. We cut this in a single afternoon, trying to capture that raw, campfire energy where you're not sure if the guy telling the story is crazy or just really unlucky. It’s a ridiculous concept—Bigfoot peeling out in a Chevy while your girl looks on like she’s actually into it—but I think everyone has felt that sting of being replaced by something totally unexpected. It’s meant to be a fun, tongue-in-cheek ride through the woods.
