The story — in my words

I wrote this one after a late-night session fueled by old western films and the tragic arc of characters like John Marston. I was thinking about that specific kind of desperation—when the world you know is disappearing, and the law is closing in, but you’ve still got one last debt to settle for the sake of your family. We cut this in a room that smelled like old leather and tubes heating up, trying to get that heavy, galloping rhythm that feels like a horse at full tilt. It wasn’t just about the history for me; it was about the personal cost of peace. I wanted the guitars to sound like a desert storm and the lyrics to carry the weight of someone who knows they might not make it back, but rides out anyway.
