The story — in my words

I wrote this song at a time when I felt completely hemmed in by my own history. I was sitting in my studio late at night, thinking about how we often let our old scars dictate our new moves, like invisible chains holding us back. 'Breaking Through' was my way of shouting back at that silence. I wanted the arrangement to mirror that feeling of a heartbeat speeding up right before a breakthrough. We tracked the vocals in one take because I wanted that raw, unpolished grit to remain front and center. It wasn’t about being perfect; it was about the sound of someone finally standing up and reclaiming their own identity after being lost in the chaos for far too long.
