The story — in my words

I wrote this one while thinking about the moments right before we have to do something terrifying—whether that’s stepping into a literal ring or just finally being honest with ourselves. I wanted to capture that gritty, tactile feeling of wrapping your hands and trying to quiet the rattling in your chest. The 'neon sign' became this lighthouse in the middle of a personal storm. We tracked the vocals in a way that felt urgent, almost breathless, to mirror that panic turning into resolve. It’s really a tribute to those people in our lives who don't flinch when they see our scars. They stand their ground while we’re breaking down, and somehow, their steady gaze becomes the very thing that pulls us out of the shadows and back into the fight.
