The story — in my words

I wrote this on a night when the walls felt like they were closing in, and every goal I had felt a thousand miles away. I was thinking about that 'mountain in my own mind'—how often we are the ones building the very obstacles that keep us from moving. We cut this in the studio with the intent of capturing that feeling of a heart racing at 100 miles per hour. It’s about that exhausting, beautiful, and desperate need to keep running until the cracks finally let the light through. I wanted the listener to feel the weight of the rain but also the heat of the fire that makes you refuse to stop. It’s for anyone who feels like they’re racing against their own shadows just to find a bit of solid ground.
