The story — in my words

I wrote this piece during a time when I felt completely depleted by the demands of everyone around me. It felt like I was being pulled in a thousand directions by invisible strings, and I realized I needed a way to physically and spiritually sever those ties. We cut this in the studio with the intention of it being more than just music; I wanted to create a space where you could actually feel the weight leaving your chest. I was sitting in a quiet room, thinking about those 'thin gray cords' we all carry, and the shears of silver light just felt like the right metaphor for our own agency. It's a very personal tool I use to stay centered, and I hope it helps you reclaim the light that belongs only to you.
