The story — in my words

I wrote this late one night when the silence in the room felt way too loud. I was thinking about that specific kind of hunger that isn't just physical—it’s like a fever that gets into your marrow. We cut this track with a heavy, pulsing rhythm to mirror that 'thunder in my chest' feeling I kept coming back to in the lyrics. I wanted to capture the desperation of trying to stay composed when you’re actually falling apart at the seams for someone. When I sing about being 'meanin’ myself alive,' it’s about that survival instinct that kicks in when a love is so intense it feels almost criminal. It’s messy, it’s urgent, and it’s the sound of me finally admitting I’ve got no defense against this kind of spark.
