The story — in my words

I wrote this late one night when the air felt thick with that strange, static energy of a new connection. I was sitting there watching someone sleep, wondering if the person I was seeing was actually who they presented themselves to be, or if I was just projecting a masterpiece onto a blank canvas. We cut this in a small room with a lot of vintage gear to get that hazy, retro shimmer—I wanted it to sound like that half-awake state where the line between your imagination and the real world starts to blur. It’s about that specific fear of waking up and finding out the lightning in your veins was just a trick of the light. We kept the tempo steady but let the guitars swirl to feel like that 'cloud in my coffee.'
