FEARLESS ONE ©
by J. Michaels
The story — in my words
I wrote this song as a visceral reaction to the way we’ve tried to engineer and dominate the natural world, only to watch it crumble under the weight of our own ego. I was sitting in my studio during a particularly grey, ash-heavy season when the image of 'glowing sand' and 'silver oceans freezing' first hit me. We cut this in a way that felt heavy and suffocating, mirroring that feeling of standing on a shore and realizing there’s nowhere left to hide. It isn't just about the environment; it’s about that quiet, terrifying moment when our calculations finally fail us and the heavy silence takes over. I wanted to capture the sorrow of realizing that the legacy we’re leaving is mostly just glass and memory.
