The story — in my words

I wrote this one while I was hovering near Upper Session Road, feeling the strange, repeating rhythm of a long night drive. There’s a specific kind of trance you enter when the pavement just keeps rolling under the wheels and the signs start to blur together. I wanted to capture that circular feeling—how the gratitude for the journey and the scenery becomes a sort of mantra. We cut this track with a steady, driving pulse to mimic that heartbeat of a car on the highway. It’s less about a destination and more about that specific moment when you’re leaning into the turn, feeling the salt air from the coast, and just acknowledging everyone who’s buckled in for the ride with you.
