The story — in my words

I wrote this during one of those oppressive August weeks where the pavement actually feels soft under your boots and the air is thick enough to chew. I was stuck in the middle of the urban sprawl, watching the steam rise off the asphalt, feeling that weird tension between exhaustion and the electric energy that only hits when the sun finally dips. I remember sitting on the sand at the edge of the city, just watching the haze settle over the water and thinking about how we all just try to outrun the madness. We cut this track with a heavy focus on that driving, rhythmic pulse to mimic the heartbeat of a crowded street. It’s about that transition from the grit of the daytime heat to the magic of the evening when the neon comes on and everything feels possible again.
