The story — in my words
I wrote this one late on a Tuesday night when the rest of the world finally went quiet. There’s a specific kind of stillness that only happens well after midnight, where the static of the day just drops off and you're left with nothing but the person right in front of you. I wanted to capture that feeling of being completely anchored by someone’s presence—how a single embrace can make time and space feel totally irrelevant. When we cut this in the studio, I kept telling the players to keep it breathy and intimate, like a secret being shared under that silver moonlight. It isn't a song about the fireworks or the drama of romance; it’s about the quiet safety of knowing you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be until the sun comes up.
