The story — in my words

I wrote this one during a particularly brutal heatwave in the city when the air felt thick enough to choke you. We were holed up in a studio that felt more like a furnace than a creative space, and that claustrophobia just bled right into the track. I wanted to capture that desperate, almost violent need for connection when the temperature hits a breaking point—where the thunder isn't just weather, it's a warning. We cut the vocals in a single take because I wanted that raw, breathless edge. When I hear those lines about the iron floor and the oaken dresser, I’m right back in that sweltering room, feeling the walls close in while the music provided the only real escape.
