The story — in my words

I wrote this one while staring at the blinking red light of a mini-fridge in a nameless city during a stretch of dates where every room started looking the same. I was thinking about how we treat these little plastic key cards like talismans—our only way into a temporary sanctuary away from the noise of the news and the constant pull of the screen. We cut the track in a space that felt just as cold, trying to capture that specific chill of 'neon rain' and the hollow sound of ice tapping against a glass. It’s about that desperate, late-night search for a 'holy pill' or a moment of mercy just to stop the clock for a few hours. I wanted it to feel like the moment the power finally goes out and you're left with nothing but the shadows.
