The story — in my words

I wrote this during a season where I felt like I was constantly swimming upstream, exhausted by my own need to control every outcome. One afternoon, I sat by the water and realized that the river doesn't try to move; it just does. I wanted to capture that shift from the 'dam'—those heavy stones of fear and doubt we carry—to the 'flow.' We cut this track with a lot of space, keeping my voice close and intimate so it feels like a personal conversation between us. It wasn't about performing; it was about creating a doorway for anyone else who is tired of the struggle. I wanted to remind myself, and you, that we don't always have to earn grace through hardship—sometimes we just have to open our hands.
