The story — in my words

I wrote this song on a Tuesday night when the silence in my house felt a little too loud. I was thinking about how many times I’ve stood in a crowded room and felt like the only person who didn't get the joke or follow the script. We cut the vocals in one take because I wanted that raw, unpolished edge to stay front and center. I’ve always found more comfort in the woods or on a quiet backroad than under neon lights, and this track is my way of leaning into that distance. It’s for everyone who’s been told they’re a little too different or a little too stubborn to belong. To me, being an outsider isn't a sentence; it’s a source of strength that keeps you honest when the world tries to change you.
