I wrote this song late one night when the 'should haves' were getting a bit too loud in my head. We’ve all got those whispers—those echoes of chances we didn't take or moments we let slip away like water through our fingers. I wanted to capture that heavy, suffocating weight of past mistakes, but I didn't want to leave the listener there in the dark. We tracked this in a way that starts heavy and burdened but physically lifts as the chorus hits. It was important for me to acknowledge that the scars are still there, but they aren't anchor points anymore; they're lessons. When I sing about wearing strength like a crown, I’m talking about that hard-won pride that comes from finally deciding to do things my way.
