I’m Going To Rock This Town ©

The story — in my words

I wrote this one while I was actually working a job that left my fingernails permanently stained with grease and oil. I spent every shift at that tire shop bench daydreaming about a one-way ticket out of there, thinking my life would only start once I reached the city limits. We cut this track with a live, room-shaking energy to capture that moment when you stop wishing you were somewhere else and realize the people you love are right in front of you. That 'girl in green' was a real person who reminded me that I didn't need a pair of better shoes to be someone important. It’s a song for anyone who’s ever traded a weekday wrench for a Saturday night microphone.
