The story — in my words

I wrote this song late one night after walking through the city, watching everyone fight for their fifteen minutes of fame. I’ve always been a bit of a recluse; truth be told, the 'masses' usually drain me. We cut this in the studio with a gritty, driving rhythm to capture that feeling of a shadow moving through the dark. It’s my way of admitting that while I don't always love people as a group, I still care deeply about the individual soul struggling to get out of their own personal hell. I didn't want this to sound like a typical anthem of glory. It’s really just a confession from a guy who wants to do some good and then disappear back into the crowd before anyone notices.
