I wrote this one while sitting at a marble-top bar, watching someone try to win back a partner with the most low-effort, drugstore apology gift I’d ever seen. It sparked this vision of a woman who finally recognizes she’s a rare vintage find, not a clearance bin afterthought. We cut this in the studio with those classic shoo-wop backing vocals to give it that timeless, girl-group attitude, but the message is strictly modern independence. I wanted the production to feel as shiny and sharp as a crystal perfume bottle under vanity lights. It’s about that specific moment you stop settling for discount affection and realize you’re the queen of your own night. When I recorded the spoken bridge, I was laughing because we all know that one person who thinks a cheap sample from the mall can fix a broken heart.
