The story — in my words

I wrote this one after a long weekend down in Fort Worth, watching the heat rise off the asphalt and the neon flicker to life at the local watering hole. There’s a specific kind of tension in a crowded bar when you’re just there to move, but you can feel every eye in the room following you. I wanted to capture that friction between a woman’s desire to cut loose and her man’s protective streak. It’s a playful nod to the classic line dances I grew up with—the tush-push and that old cowboy hustle. We cut the track with a driving rhythm section to make sure you could feel the floorboards shake. To me, it’s not just about the clothes; it’s about that confidence you feel when you know exactly who you’re going home with at the end of the night.
