The story — in my words

I wrote this one after a long stretch on the road when the miles start to feel like they're pulling you apart from the people who actually matter. I was sitting in a roadside diner with a cup of cold coffee, staring at a flickering neon motel sign, and I realized that love isn't just a feeling—it’s the physical act of showing up. We cut this track to feel like that drive home; it starts with that steady, rhythmic rain on the windshield and builds until you finally see the city lights in the rearview. It’s about that moment when you decide you aren’t just going to watch someone walk away. You get in the car, you put it in gear, and you fight for what’s yours.
