"Isolation"
by J. Michaels
The story — in my words
I wrote this during a week where my head felt like a faulty radio, picking up nothing but white noise. I was walking through the city, surrounded by millions of people, yet I felt like a 'ghost in the machine'—just a collection of gears grinding without any real connection to the world. We cut the vocals in a single take, trying to capture that thin, weightless feeling where your own skin doesn't even feel like it belongs to you. It’s about that terrifying internal flicker when you realize your own frequency is just flatlining. I wanted the music to mirror that pressure building up inside—that tight, cold sensation of being unmoored from everything you once knew. It isn't just about being alone; it's about the desaturation of your soul until you're just a silent scream in the dark.
