The story — in my words

I wrote this one after a particularly desperate 3 AM run to the drive-thru in a van that probably should've been in the junkyard. There’s a specific kind of delirium that hits when you’ve been awake too long and the glow of a fast-food menu starts looking like a portal to another dimension. I wanted to treat a simple taco run like a medieval quest, turning a beat-up gear shift into a sword and a minivan into a war wagon. We tracked this with a lot of grit to capture that frantic, starving energy. It’s about that fine line between being a functioning adult and being a feral animal who just really needs forty tiny tacos and some ranch dressing to survive the night.
