I wrote this one late at night when the air felt heavy, imagining that exact moment where anger turns into a desperate need for grace. I wanted to capture the tactile details—the cold weight of iron in a shaking hand, the smell of perfume that isn't yours lingering in a car, and that suffocating feeling of a life unraveling in a gravel driveway. We cut the vocals in a single take because I wanted that raw, cracking vulnerability to stay front and center. It’s not just a song about being hurt; it’s about that split second where you choose to drop the bitterness and walk toward the light instead of the fire. I left my heart on the floor tracking this one.
