I wrote this late one evening when I was feeling particularly stubborn, sitting in the back of an old wooden chapel as the light was fading through the windows. There’s something about the silence of an empty church that forces you to be honest with yourself. I was holding onto my own plans so tightly that my hands were literally trembling from the weight of it all. As I leaned against that worn pine pew, I realized that my pride was the only thing standing between me and the peace I was looking for. We cut this track with a low organ hum to mirror that specific vibration you feel in those old floorboards. It’s not a song about having all the answers; it’s just a simple, honest plea for help when the road ahead goes dark.
