The story — in my words

I wrote this song at a time when I felt like I was constantly hitting a glass ceiling in my life and my career. I was tired of playing small and letting old insecurities dictate my moves. 'Limitless' came out of a late-night session where I realized that the only thing actually holding me back was the story I was telling myself. We cut this in a studio that had these massive windows looking out over the city, and as the sun came up, the energy in the room just shifted. I wanted the guitars to feel like they were breaking through a wall. It’s a track about that moment you stop asking for permission and start claiming your own power. We all have that fire inside; we just have to be brave enough to let it burn.
