The story — in my words

I wrote this one late at night after walking through a downtown area that felt completely disconnected, even with people everywhere. I started with the line 'State of Amnesia' because I wanted to capture that disorienting feeling of not recognizing your own surroundings. We cut this in the studio with a cold, flickering energy to mirror those streetlights I kept seeing. Originally, I thought it was just a song about loneliness, but as I got to the final verse, the lyrics took a darker, more supernatural turn. It hit me that the protagonist wasn't just ignored—he actually wasn't there at all. It turned into a story about a spirit trying to find his way back to a life that had already moved on without him.
