The story — in my words

I wrote this song when I was thinking about the people I’ve known who just didn’t fit into the narrow corridors of 'polite' society. I was sitting in my studio late one night, reflecting on how we often mistake different perspectives for something that needs to be 'fixed' or medicated away. To me, the characters in this song aren't broken; they are just vibrating at a frequency the rest of the world hasn't learned to tune into yet. I wanted the music to feel like a storm brewing—starting internal and quiet, then breaking wide open. We cut the vocals with a lot of raw energy because it needed to feel like a reclamation of identity. It’s a tribute to the seers and the dreamers who are labeled as 'strange' simply because they refuse to dim their light.
