The story — in my words

I wrote this one when I felt completely cornered by my own circumstances. I was literally pacing my studio like a caged animal, feeling that rhythmic 'tick-tock' of the clock just eating away at my patience. I wanted to capture that precise moment where the pressure becomes so unbearable that you have no choice but to explode upward. We tracked the vocals in a single take because I didn't want it to sound polished; I wanted the grit of the gravel and the real sweat of the grind to come through the speakers. It’s about that internal switch that flips when you realize you're no longer the victim of the storm, but the storm itself. We kept the percussion heavy to mimic that heartbeat of someone who has everything to gain and nothing left to lose.
