The story — in my words

I wrote this one after standing in the back of a smoky, half-empty club watching a performer who absolutely refused to be ignored. She didn't care that the crowd was small or that the world had told her she’d never make it; she played like she was headlining a stadium. I wanted to capture that specific kind of lightning—that swagger of a woman who wears her scars like badges of honor and uses her voice as a weapon. 'Queen of the Scene' is my tribute to the rebels who stay true to their art even when the lights are blinding and the stakes are high. We cut the track with a brassy, driving energy to match her fire because you can't sing about a heart like that without letting the rhythm move the floor.
