The story — in my words

I wrote this song after a particularly long haul of playing empty rooms and loading my gear into a rusted van at 3 AM. It’s about that specific, electric bridge between the struggle and the breakthrough—the moment you realize every dive bar and out-of-tune piano was just a rehearsal for the main event. We cut this in a session where I told the band to play like they were playing for fifty thousand people, even though it was just us and some coffee cups in a small studio. I wanted to capture the literal physical vibration you feel when the lights go down and you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you’ve finally arrived exactly where you were meant to be.
