The story — in my words

I wrote this one while sitting on my back porch watching a storm roll in over the horizon. I was thinking a lot about the pressure we all feel to stay in line and keep our heads down, and how exhausting it is to live by someone else's broken schemes. 'Rebel Skies' started as a whisper about being the 'fearless few,' but by the time we got into the studio, it turned into this massive roar. I wanted to capture that specific feeling of realization—the moment you stop running and decide to set the pace yourself. We tracked the 'la-la-la' sections late at night to get that raw, communal energy, like a group of outsiders finally finding their tribe under a dark, electric sky. It’s my tribute to the scars we wear as badges.
