I wrote this one after digging through a box of old LPs in my attic and finding a record that had actually snapped in two. It wasn't just a piece of plastic; it was the soundtrack to a summer I thought I’d forgotten. I started thinking about how our lives are a lot like those old platters—full of pops, hisses, and deep scratches that make the needle jump, but that’s where the real character lives. We spend so much time chasing this clean, digital perfection, but those 'flaws' are the only things that prove we actually were there. I wanted the music to feel like that warm, scratchy hum before the song kicks in, capturing that specific ache of a memory that’s beautiful precisely because it’s broken. We cut this track to honor the scars we all carry.
