The story — in my words
I wrote this song at a time when the weight of my own past felt as heavy as the wet clay in a riverbed. I was thinking about the concept of transparency—how we spend our whole lives building up these armors of ego and pride, only to realize they're just rusted iron when we finally come face-to-face with something holy. We cut this track with a pulse that feels like a steady heartbeat, wanting to capture that feeling of a man hiking up a steep, cold mountain toward a light he isn't sure he deserves. It’s about that moment of total surrender where you stop running, let the bridges you burned stay ash, and finally ask to be washed clean by a force much bigger than your own mistakes.
