The story — in my words

I wrote this on a Tuesday morning when the light was hitting my kitchen floor just right. I’d spent a few months feeling pretty bogged down by the weight of everything, and I realized I was forgetting how to just breathe and enjoy a clear sky. I wanted to capture that specific feeling of putting your boots on and deciding that today was going to be different. We cut this in a small room with the windows open, and you can almost hear the neighborhood waking up in the background. It’s a reminder to myself, and hopefully to you, that even when the road gets windy and the storms roll in, there’s always a corner where the kids are laughing and the sun is waiting to break through.
