The story — in my words

I wrote this one while sitting under an old oak tree, watching how it didn't seem to strive or beg for the sun—it just existed in a state of readiness. I started thinking about how we spend so much time measuring the distance between ourselves and the things we want, especially love. We look at the finish line instead of the internal combustion happening in our own chests. I wanted to capture that specific shiver, like a kettle just before it sings, where you realize you aren't chasing the wind anymore. It’s about that quiet, tectonic shift where you finally stop resisting and realize that gravity is already pulling everything you need toward you. We cut this track to feel like a slow build toward that final, inevitable jump.
