The story — in my words

I wrote this one while thinking about that specific kind of desperation you can only feel when you're down to your last bit of change. I wanted to capture the texture of a rainy night at a roadside phone booth—the smell of the wet grass, the sound of a hot rod cutting through the silence, and that agonizing hum of a dial tone when nobody picks up. We cut this track with a raw, driving energy to match that frantic heartbeat you get when you’re shivering in the cold, just begging for a sign that it’s not over. It’s a song about the lonely jail of not knowing where you stand, walking away in scuffed-up shoes just as the sun starts to bleed into the sky.
