The Shape of Quiet ©

The story — in my words
I wrote this one after a long dinner where I realized I hadn’t said a single honest thing all night. I was just nodding, laughing on the proper beat, and making myself small so everyone else could feel comfortable. When I got home, I just sat in the dark staring at that flashing microwave clock, feeling the weight of all the words I’d swallowed. We cut this in a way that feels like a slow-burn realization—it starts contained and tight, then finally breaks open when the truth comes out. It’s about that terrifying moment when you decide to let your voice shake rather than staying silent just to keep the peace. I wanted to capture how exhausting it is to be 'steady' for everyone else while you’re crumbling inside.
