The story — in my words

I wrote this one at four in the morning when the house felt way too big. I was sitting at the kitchen table, and I actually found myself pouring two cups of coffee out of habit, even though she’d been gone for weeks. That second cup just sat there getting cold, and it hit me how much space silence can actually take up in a room. We tracked the vocals in one take because I didn't want to polish away the shakiness in my voice. It’s not a song about moving on; it’s about that specific, heavy moment when you realize you’re the one who tore the whole thing apart. I wanted the music to feel as empty as that hallway I was standing in.
