The story — in my words
I wrote this one while sitting on my back porch as the light was hitting the valley just right. I’d spent a long time away in the city, feeling like I was just going through the motions, and it wasn't until I hit that first stretch of gravel leading back to the mountains that I felt I could breathe again. I wanted to capture that specific feeling of the air changing and the way the eagles seem to guide you back to where you belong. We cut this track with just a couple of microphones to keep that raw, open-air feeling. It’s not just about a physical place; it’s about that quiet realization that the most beautiful things in life are usually the simplest ones we left behind.
