The story — in my words

I wrote this one at three in the morning when the weight of my own bad decisions felt too heavy to carry. I was sitting at my kitchen table with my old slide guitar, just feeling completely spent. We’ve all had those seasons where it feels like every left turn was a wrong one and the map we’ve been using is totally torn up. When we cut this in the studio, I wanted that slide guitar to sound like a literal cry for help—something haunting but still grounded. It isn’t just a song about being lost; it’s about that moment of total surrender when you finally stop trying to drive and ask for a passenger. It’s the most honest I’ve ever been about my own doubts and that desperate hope that someone out there is actually listening.
