The story — in my words
I wrote this song after a long walk through some ancient, moss-covered woods where the air felt thick with everything that came before us. I was thinking about how we often try to run from the 'gloom' or the 'winter' of our lives, but for me, those were the exact spaces where my spirit finally caught fire. I remember feeling like that splintered sapling in the frost—vulnerable and cold—realizing that the bitterness of the season was actually what was forging my resilience. We cut this track to feel like a slow awakening, starting with that low tremor in the bones and building until it feels like a prayer that can't be silenced. It’s my way of saying that the pain isn't just a hurdle; it’s the soil where the truth blooms.
