I was thinking about how we often treat our mistakes like they're permanent, like once something is burned down to ash, it’s just gone. But I wanted to write about the tactile, messy work of reconciliation. We cut this track with a steady, pulsing rhythm to mirror those 'steady hands' I mention in the lyrics. It’s about that quiet, late-night decision to take the debris of a relationship—the jealousy, the hard words, the pride—and realize it’s actually raw material. We aren't just burying the past; we're wetting the dust and shaping it into something we can finally live in together.
