I wrote this one standing in the red clay of my own backyard, feeling the weight of everything we've been losing lately. It started with that image of 'brass shell casings in the dirt'—the literal and metaphorical price of the freedom we often take for granted. I wanted to capture that feeling of being pushed into a corner where you finally have to plant your feet and say 'no further.' We cut this in a session where the room felt electric, focusing on that heavy, driving rhythm that sounds like a hammer hitting an anvil. It isn't just a political statement for me; it's a song about the bones of the country and the people who aren't ready to let the foundation crumble under the weight of a few hollow lies.
