The story — in my words

I wrote this during a week when everything felt heavy—not just emotionally, but physically. I was thinking about the strange contract of being alive, how we’re essentially software running in these 'meat suits,' tied down by gravity and digital footprints we never asked for. We cut this in a small room where you could practically smell the ozone from the old tube amps, which felt right for the lyrics. I wanted to capture that grinding friction between the physical grind of copper and iron and the part of us that’s trying to kick down the door of the egg. It started as a meditation on surveillance, but it turned into a song about the ultimate release—shedding the weight of the planet to become the light and the violet. It's about finding the air after living a lifetime under a ceiling.
