The story — in my words

I wrote this one at four in the morning when the 'industrial gray' mentioned in the lyrics wasn't just a metaphor—it was the actual color of the sky outside my window. I was feeling that specific kind of vibration you get when you’ve stayed in one place too long and your skin starts to feel like static. We cut the track with a focus on that grinding, mechanical rhythm to mirror the 'gears in the head.' It’s not really a song about having a destination; it’s about that terrifying, beautiful moment when you realize the brakes are gone and you finally stop trying to steer the 'cosmic spin.' I wanted to capture the smell of cold coffee and the feeling of a dashboard that's seen too many miles, representing all the parts of ourselves we leave behind on the shoulder of the highway.
