The story — in my words
I wrote this one while watching how easily we let others dictate our value through the games they play. I was sitting in my studio thinking about how we all start out so innocent—back to those days when we were just children—and then life happens and people start keeping score. I wanted to capture that friction between staying patient and being pushed too far. We cut this with a heavy focus on that 'fire' in the bridge because I really wanted the listener to feel the weight of their own choices. It isn't just a warning to someone else; it’s a reminder to myself that freedom isn’t something someone gives you—it's something you reclaim when you finally decide to stop playing the game and let your spirit breathe.
