The story — in my words

I wrote this song late one night after a brief encounter that I just couldn't shake. I didn't even know her name, but it felt like she’d left some kind of residue on my skin, or a frequency humming in my head that I couldn't turn off. We cut the tracks in a small studio downtown, trying to capture that dizzy, slightly disoriented feeling you get when you realize you've completely lost your grip on the situation. It’s that specific brand of magic where you know you're being played, but you're leaning into it anyway. I wanted the music to feel as warm and enveloping as that hold she had on me—less like a trap and more like a secret world I wasn't quite ready to leave yet.
